After EJ hung up with Samantha he sat in his bed with the biggest grin on his face. Finally he felt like his life had a purpose again. He may be restricted to a wheelchair for the time being but he would not allow it to break his spirit. There was nothing he loved more than a good game of cat and mouse and that was exactly what he and Samantha had planned. He started getting ready to leave as he had been given the all clear to go home. He couldn’t wait to get back to his own home and start his new life with his wife and children. “Oh Lucas, what fun this will be….ripping the rug from beneath your feet.” He laughed. The discharge nurse came and wheeled him to the elevator. “I’m coming home, my love, I’m coming home.”

Sami paced nervously in her apartment. She was relying on EJ to make this plan work smoothly. She didn’t trust herself to carry it through alone because most of her schemes ended up blowing up in her face. She had to be sure that their plan was executed in just the right manner to work. She waited anxiously for EJ to call. Unable to sit still in her apartment any longer she decided to go pick up the twins. They would provide her with a much needed distraction. She headed towards the elevator and was shocked when the doors opened and EJ was there. “Oh my god! EJ! They released you. Why didn’t you call me?”

He smiled at her and winked, “I wanted to surprise you darling.” He wheeled out of the elevator into the hallway and glanced around. “So, where’s Lucas?” Sami rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders, “Who knows? We had a fight and he had to get some air he said.” He made his way towards his apartment, “Trouble in paradise eh?” Sami grabbed one of his bags and struggled at the heaviness of it. “God EJ, what’s in this thing? Lead?”

 He chuckled, “Those are my weights, darling, for my physical therapy.” She dragged the bag into his apartment and parked it near the door. “So are you having the therapist come by?”

 ”Yes, she’s coming by tomorrow”

Sami had a look of shock on her face, “She?” EJ clicked his tongue in amusement, “Jealous?” Sami blushed and stammered, “no. I just..never mind.” He grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into his lap. He kissed her neck and whispered in her ear, “There is only one woman for me” Sami grinned and kissed him lightly on the lips. She hopped of of his lap.

 ”Where are you going?”

“I have to go pick up the twins but I won’t be long.” She kissed him again quickly on the lips.

 ”Hurry back. We have to initiate phase two.”
