During the walk back from Caroline’s Sami thought about their plan. She would rather die than allow Lucas to gain custody of Ali. She didn’t care what she had to do to prevent it but there was no way in hell that she would be separated from her daughter. She just prayed that the plan would work. Her heart sunk as she approached the apartment building and she saw Lucas’ car. She wasn’t sure if she was ready for another conflict with him.

She brought the twins to EJ’s apartment and he said he would watch them while she had it out with Lucas. She leaned down for another kiss as if it would provide her with the courage she needed to do this. EJ smiled, “Good luck darling.”

She found Lucas in the apartment slamming things around. Obviously he was still in a pissy mood. She walked in and removed her coat. “What’s wrong with you?”, she asked as she hung her coat on the hook. “Nothing!”, he hissed, “Where’s the twins?”

 ”They are fine, they are with EJ.”

 He whirled around in anger, “What?!”, he grabbed her arms and shook her, “You left my daughter with that….with that rapist! Damn it Sami!” She pushed him away hard, “Don’t you ever grab me like that again! I left them there because I knew this would turn into a fight and I didn’t want them here.” She rubbed her arms where he grabbed her.

 He shook his head, “This is why I have to get her away from you. I won’t allow her to be influenced by him. Just so you know I was talking with a lawyer and he seems to think that I have grounds for custody.” Sami’s anger boiled under the surface and her eyes were ablaze, “I can’t believe you. How could you do this again Lucas? Don’t you remember the hell we went through fighting over Will? Don’t do this to Ali.”

“I’m not doing anything to Ali. I am saving her from you….you and your rapist husband.” He felt the sting across his face as she slapped him. “You unimaginable bastard! I will make damn sure that you never get custody of Ali! You don’t even have a job. What judge in their right mind would give you custody? You can’t even support yourself let alone a child.”

“Welcome back”, he said as he clapped his hands together. Sami looked at him with confusion, “What are you babbling about?” He shrugged his shoulders, “I was just welcoming back Sami the bitch, it’s been awhile.” She pursed her lips in anger, “You are such a jerk!”

She headed towards the door ripping her purse off the table, “Don’t wait up, honey” she sneered, “The twins and I will be spending the night with EJ.” She slammed the door as Lucas stood there in shock. She quickly crossed the hall towards EJ’s apartment and she smiled as she entered.

EJ had a baby on each arm and was talking baby talk to them. He looked up when Samantha entered. He saw that she was flushed and her eyes were still glazed with anger, “Went that well did it?”

 ”Let him bring it on! Are you ready for your part?” He shook his head yes. “Great!” she replied, “Oh by the way, we are staying over tonight. I hope you don’t mind”

His eyes danced with delight, “Not at all darling. Make yourself at home. I’m just going to call and check on something. We have to be prepared for tomorrow.”
