Lucas was having a nightmare visit so far with the social worker but it was about to get worse, much worse. The doorbell rang and he went to answer it. He opened the door to find a beautiful, scantily clad redhead. She threw herself into his arms and began kissing him. She pulled back, “Lucas baby I missed you so much. You wouldn’t believe the day I had. I had 5 Johns today. I’m exhausted. Can you give me a massage baby?” Lucas looked on in horror and confusion. Savannah cleared her throat getting the woman’s attention.

The girl became angry and glared at Lucas. She slapped him hard, “You stepping out on me?” She said angrily with her hands on her hips. Lucas rubbed the stinging flesh on his cheek, “Who the hell are you? I’ve never seen you before in my life.” He looked imploringly at Savannah, “I swear I’ve never met her before.” The woman began to laugh, “That’s rich. You never met me before,” She looked at Savannah and threw up her hands, “He’s only been sleeping with me for months” She turned her attention back to Lucas and began to cry, “You told me you left Sami for me you bastard!” She ran from the apartment in tears. Lucas was flabbergasted and Savannah did not appear to be happy at all.

 ”Well done, my dear, well done.” EJ clapped his hands watching the scene unfold before him. Sami couldn’t have been more thrilled with how this visit was going. “EJ, Wherever did you find her?” He laughed, “It’s amazing how much cooperation you can buy these days.”

“Now darling, it’s time for you to bring the show to it’s glorious end. Now remember, you are the star, make it one for your Emmy tape,” he winked at her. She got up and smoothed down her clothes, “How do I look?”

“Beautiful!” He took her by the hand and kissed her fingers. “Go get Ali and give the performance of a lifetime.” She leaned down and put her forehead against his, “Now who’s the schemer?” EJ chuckled. Sami pulled away and turned to go to the nursery to get Ali and EJ spanked her hard on the butt. She whirled around, “What was that for?” He grinned, “Go get em Tiger!”

Lucas wanted to crawl into a hole and die. His life was falling apart literally before his eyes. He rubbed his hands against his forehead as if trying to erase this whole day from his mind. His self torture was interrupted when Savannah cleared her throat. He decided he had to reason with her somehow. He had to make her understand. “Look Savannah..er…Ms O’Brien. I know this looks bad but honestly. I don’t know how vodka got into your drink and I have no clue who that woman was. You gotta believe me.”

“Listen, Mr Horton,” She clicked her pen several times, “It says in my file that you had a prior issue with alcohol and with…ahem…ladies of the night.” She blushed as she recalled the redhead who had stormed in earlier. “Now what am I to think. You serve me vodka. Your…lady friend…I’m sorry Mr Horton but it doesn’t look good.” Lucas sighed, “God I need to get a glass of water. Excuse me.” He made his way to the refrigerator and pulled out another bottle of water. He took a long drink and upon realizing it was vodka he spat it out in the sink and wiped his face,”Damn it to hell, what’s going on?” The doorbell rang. Savannah excused herself to the bathroom.

 He sighed in exasperation, “Now who is it?” He opened the door and Sami stood there holding Ali in her baby carrier. She smiled and spoke sweetly, “Lucas! I just brought Ali for a visit.”

“It’s not a good time Sami,” He tried to get rid of her before she could cause him any problems. She sat the baby carrier on the floor, “Why Lucas? I thought you would be thrilled to spend some time with Ali.”

“I have company.” He unstrapped Ali from her carrier and rocked her in his arms. Sami made her way into the kitchen and helped herself to a bottled water. She took a drink and spat it out, “Lucas!! Why is there vodka in this bottle? Have you been drinking again?” She crossed over to him and took Ali away. She put her back in the carrier. “I can’t believe you Lucas!” She slapped him hard across the face.

Lucas grabbed her by the wrist forcefully to stop the assault. Out of the corner of her eye Sami spied Savannah exiting the bathroom. That was her cue to bring on the drama. She screamed in pain, “You’re hurting me let go!” Lucas pushed her away. She rubbed her wrists, “God Lucas, I can’t believe you grabbed me like that! I’m taking Ali back home. To EJ.” He grabbed her by the arm, still unaware that Savannah was back in the room. “Ow”, she screamed.

Savannah pulled him back, “Let her go or I am calling the police.” Sami looked at Savannah with tears in her eyes, “Thank God you were here. I was so scared. I have to get out of here!” She picked up Ali and ran for the door slamming it shut behind her.

Savannah gathered up her things, “I’ve seen all I need to see. You will hear from my office shortly.” Lucas put his hand on her arm, “Please….let me explain.” She jerked away from him, “Don’t you ever touch me again. Goodbye Mr. Horton!” She left the apartment in a huff.

Lucas sat on the couch and put his face into his hands in defeat. He rocked back and forth, “I’ve lost my baby. My baby is gone.”

 Sami returned to EJ’s with the baby. She dried the last of her tears as she entered. EJ clapped at the sight of her, “Brava, darling, brava. Forget the Emmy’s that was an Oscar worthy performance.”
