The next few hours passed in a blur. EJ called Chelsea and asked if she and Nick could come pick up the twins and take them back to EJ’s apartment so that he could stay with Samantha. When they arrived in the ER they asked what happened and EJ explained that he found Lucas beating Samantha. They were both shocked and agreed to stay with the twins as long as necessary. EJ kissed the twins goodbye and then wheeled himself by Samantha’s bedside.

She looked so peaceful as she slept. It broke EJ’s heart to see her lying there with her mouth and arms bruised, especially knowing that he was the cause of it. He held her and laid his head down, “I’m sorry darling.”

“Sorry for what Junior?” EJ sat bolt upright and wheeled around to face Bo Brady. “Bo. You startled me.” he cleared his throat and spoke, “I’m sorry that I didn’t stop this sooner” Which wasn’t a lie exactly. Bo sat down in a chair and pulled out a little tablet, “You wanna tell me what happened?”

“Sure,” EJ then explained the events exactly as he and Sami had discussed. Bo sat there making notes and saying “uh huh” a lot. Sami began to stir and moan in pain. She sat up and rubbed her eyes sleepily, “Uncle Bo? What are you doing here?”  He stood next to her, “What happened Sami?” She explained the events, corroborating EJ’s version, “I was so scared Uncle Bo. I thought he was going to kill me. Thank god EJ showed up when he did.” She looked at EJ and mouthed “Thank you.” EJ winked at her.

Bo tucked the tablet in his pocket, “The first thing we are going to do is issue a restraining order for you against Lucas. He won’t be allowed to be within 50 feet of you or Ali. Then I am going to have a warrant issued for his arrest. He won’t get away with this. I promise.” He leaned down to give Sami a hug, “Get some rest kiddo. Don’t worry about Lucas. I’ll take care of him.” He looked over at EJ, “Take care of her Junior. Or you’ll deal with me. EJ brought his hand up in a salute, “Yes sir.”

Bo left and Sami turned to EJ and smiled, “That went better than I thought. Our plan is working beautifully. Now get me out of here will you. We have to get home to watch the best part unfold.” EJ cupped her face in his hands, “Let me go see if the doctor is ready to release you.”

Fortunately for Sami they released her and EJ took her home. They explained everything to Chelsea and Nick before they left and thanked them for watching the twins. Once Nick and Chelsea left the apartment EJ turned on the laptop to see that Lucas was sitting on the couch drinking a beer and watching tv. He bit his lip, “Oh Lucas,” he said with amusement, “You are about to star in your own made for tv movie.” He motioned for Samantha to sit next to him. They watched in anticipation as they heard Lucas’ doorbell ring.
