The doorbell rang and Lucas rolled his eyes. “Why can’t they let me drink myself into oblivion?”, he asked himself. He walked over to the door and peered through the peephole. “Great,” he said with a deep sigh, “Just what I need.”. He opened the door, “It’s not a good time Bo, Sami’s not here if that’s who you are looking for.”

Bo flashed his badge. “I’m here on official business. Lucas you are under arrest.” He held up his hands, “Whoa Bo, c’mon. What you are arresting me for?” Bo pull the handcuffs from the clip on his belt, “For the assault of Samantha Dimera.” He went behind Lucas and grabbed him by the wrists and placed the handcuffs on him. Lucas kept attempting to turn around, “Bo I did not assault Sami, you gotta believe me.” Bo didn’t respond but read Lucas his Miranda rights.

Lucas continued to protest as Bo walked him out of the apartment.

Sami and EJ watched as Lucas answered the door. They saw Bo in the doorway. EJ turned to Samantha, “That was quick. This should be fun to watch.” Sami looked rather shocked at the speed at which Bo had come to arrest Lucas, “I didn’t think he would actually do it.”

“Why would you say that darling, you’re his family.”

“True, but I’m the black sheep of the Brady family.” She toyed with her hair nervously, “I really didn’t think that he would believe me.” EJ patted her hand in an attempt to reassure her, “Apparently he cares more than you think.”

They continued to watch as Bo arrested him and pulled him out of the apartment. Sami derived great pleasure in seeing Lucas arrested especially after what he tried to pull with custody. “I wonder what is happening now?”, she asked.

“Don’t worry darling, I have a contact in the police department that will let me know what’s going on.”

As if on cue one of the twins began to cry. “I’ll go,” Sami said. She headed into the nursery and wondered what the future would hold. EJ closed the laptop and picked up his cell phone to make a call, “It’s me, call me as soon as there is any news. I don’t care what has to be done. He will pay for hurting my wife.” He snapped the cell phone closed.

Lucas sat in a holding cell after being processed. He was waiting to hear from his court appointed attorney. He had used his one phone call to call his mother and only got her answering machine. He left a message but didn’t know if or when his mother would come. He put his face into his hand and wondered how his life had got to this place. Everything had spiraled out of control . He wished now that he had never gotten back with Sami. The only reason he went back to the relationship was because she was interested in EJ and his jealously couldn’t allow that.

Now he wished that he had just left it alone and allowed Sami to have her life and he have his. They were never good for each other. He realized that now more than ever. His regrets were interrupted by the guard at the door, “You have a visitor.”

They took him, shackled, into the visitor’s room. He laid eyes on his visitor, “You’ve got to be kidding me!”
