Sami could barely function. She couldn’t imagine her sweet baby with that monster. She vowed to herself that if it took her last breath she would find her son and make that bastard pay. She wouldn’t let anyone stop her. She wiped away her tears with fierce determination. She ripped the suitcase from her closet and started throwing clothes inside, it was if by throwing the clothes she could somehow fill the gaping hole in her heart. She felt her legs weaken and she collapsed to the floor in a heap of tears. She buried her face in her hands, “Mommy is coming for you Johnny”. She sat on the floor rocking back and forth.

EJ found her collapsed on the floor asleep. Her tears now dried on her cheeks as she slept fitfully calling out for her son. It broke his heart to see her this way. When she loved someone she loved them fiercely and she loved no one more than her children. He moved the suitcase from the bed and pulled back the covers. Then he carefully picked up his wife gently from the floor. She stirred and called out for their son. He shushed her as he laid her her on the bed, “Don’t worry darling. We will find our son.” He pulled the covers over her and kissed her forehead, “Rest my love.”

 He gently closed the bedroom door careful not to wake her. He looked into the nursery and found Ali sleeping fitfully. It was obvious that she sensed her brother’s absence. EJ stood next to the crib and rubbed her back to soothe her. “I will find your brother sweetie. Don’t worry.” Everything was beginning to take it’s toll on him. He rubbed his forehead as he stepped into the living room.

He flipped open his cell phone and made a call, “Anything?” he questioned the person on the other end. He listened intently, “Interesting….make the necessary arrangements.” He snapped the phone closed and tapped it against his lips before tossing it on the coffee table. He chuckled to himself, “Oh father…….you can run but you can’t hide.” He headed towards the window and glanced out at the moon, “Daddy will find you Johnny. Stay brave sweet boy.”
