Chapter 8-

She stood there stunned letting his words sink in. Finally speaking she stuttered “Gio…van..ni” The tears sprang from her eyes as she lunged forward throwing her arms around him. She held him tight, “Oh my god Johnny! I can’t believe it’s really you!” She felt him pull away with a look of disgust. He sat down hard in the chair and crossed his arms aloof across his chest.

“Interesting,” he sneered, “Careful Sister one may get the impression that you actually care.” Ali’s mouth gaped open in shock, she tried to explain but the words would not come out. “Wow,” he laughed, “Rendered speechless eh? No worries my sister. I’ve come to rejoin the family. Actually,” he drummed his finger against his lower lip, “scratch that. I’ve come to Salem to make all of you pay” His eyes were dark and foreboding and sent a shiver down Ali’s spine.

Before Ali could compose herself enough to speak she heard the chime at the front door and saw her mother stroll in arms full of packages. “Hi Sweetie. I brought some stuff to decorate your office.” She looked up and caught sight of the young man seated by Ali’s desk. Something seemed so familiar about him. She looked at Ali and saw her tears, “What’s wrong sweetheart?” she cast a concerned glance towards the young man. Ali stuttered, “Mom this is…” She was cut off as Johnny rose to his feet and smiled, “Hello mother”

Sami’s world went black as she crumpled to the floor. Ali ran to her mother’s side but Johnny grabbed her, “Not so fast my sister, you are coming with me.” He dragged a terrified Ali towards the door.
